Overall Feature Request

Hi Team! I’m loving the Amphi alpha. I believe the only way to truly solve the "clunkiness" of studying is to give users extreme control rather than a "one size fits all" approach. To find what amphi needs to succeed, you must examine what your competitors do, take it and improve it.1. Essentials-Pen Overhaul: We need precise mm sizing (text input, not just sliders), dashed/dotted line options, and saved presets (e.g., button for "Red 0.5mm Dashed").-Input UX: Scribble-to-erase, Apple Pencil Pro squeeze support (palette), and 2-finger undo are mandatory for iPad workflow.-Navigation: Seamless vertical/horizontal infinite scroll with "pull to add space."-Canvas Control: A4 print-ready templates are crucial. Also, a dedicated "Text Doc" feature (like G-Docs) is needed for structured note-takers.-PDF Handling: Robust export. Crucially, Import PDF as Background (as its own page, not just an image pasted on a canvas) is required for homework/slides.-Tools: Rectangular Lasso, Text Boxes (add Tables!), and Shape Snapping (must be adjustable after drawing).-Read-Only Mode: Toggle to hide UI/lock edits for reviewing without stray marks.2. Differentiators-Layer System: Toggle visibility of layers (e.g., hide notes on top of a PDF). Needed for active recall.-Deep Anki Integration: Widget needed. 1) Allow handwriting on cards. 2) AI Deck Creation (circle notes -> auto-generate cloze card).-"No Lag" Engine: Add a toggle to Turn Off AI to prioritize performance. (My M2 iPad overheats on Goodnotes; efficiency is key).-Marketplace: Allow user-made widgets/templates. Let the community build niche tools for you.-Tabs: View multiple notes at once.-Presentation Mode: Laser pointer & UI hiding.-Lock Image: Prevent lasso from moving background images.3. Future Innovations-Global Tags: Search handwritten tags like #exam across all notebooks.-Audio Sync: Transcriptions + link audio timestamp to handwriting.-Smart Extract: Drag graphs from PDFs to become manipulatable objects.-Wiki-Links: Link between notes (Obsidian style).-Excel-style Tables: Functions within tables.Your customizability and "community modules" will be the defining factor against the rigid structures of massive competitors. Please invest in those who support you. Good work! If you need more context, please reach out.

Hey Andrew we really appreciate the feed and love your dedication. We have added your contributions to the roadmap. If you had to pick from your list, what would add the most value for you?

Hi Liam, I really believe that it is hard to choose from the list I have given, as they are all needed in my opinion. To make the notes feature workable as a student, my top three choices would be the “Pen” feature overhaul, addition of individual page templates with PDFs/seamless scrolling, and Apple pencil pro features like scribble to erase and squeeze. I am sorry to say there is not a singular feature that I can say as the defining feature, rather these are all needed to be able to switch from a competitor like goodnotes or notability. You have incredible potential with this product, but providing the same functionality is needed to capture their existing audience (in my opinion). Good luck and good work!
