🚀 Major Amphi Update "Foundations Rebuild" - Version 1.0 build 10.

It’s been a little while since our last update, we’ve been deep in the foundations.
We’ve loved all the feedback you’ve been sharing, and this release is directly shaped by those conversations.
This update focuses on performance, reliability, and real study usability. We’ve rebuilt major parts of the canvas and made significant improvements to binders and focus view to give you more control and make Amphi adapt better to how you actually work.
This is a big step toward a more stable, powerful Amphi and we’re excited to get it into your hands.
📚 Binders Rebuild Smarter
A major overhaul.
• Focus view redesigned to feel closer to conventional page-based note apps
• Automatic binder alignment, drag slightly over another binder to snap into place
• Binder headers scale and compress better when zoomed out
• Updated binder page patterns
• Improved page sizing
• Select and duplicate pages from binder settings
• Strokes move out of the way when adding a new binder
• Binders no longer collapse while being moved
• Adjustable binder margins (export with or without margins to PDF)
• Swipe to add a new page in focus view
• Background colour options in focus view
• Focus view quick-access (eye icon appears when binder fills majority of screen)
• Vertical scroll, horizontal scroll, and swipe options in focus view
🧭 Canvas Navigation
The canvas engine has been redesigned from the ground up.
• Fixed canvas “jumping” and shifting
• Mini-map added (tap to navigate when content is off-screen)
• Increased max zoom
• Significant zoom & pan performance improvements
• Fixed content shifting bug
• Targeting 120fps on newer devices
Much smoother. Much more reliable.
📄 PDFs are more stable with more control
We’ve addressed large PDF crashes and rebuilt the import flow.
• Crop imported PDFs for binders
• Chapter divider for large PDFs
• Support for importing more than 12 pages at once (with proper feedback)
• New export UI with selectable PDF quality
• Improved PDF preview reliability

✍️ Pens are smarter & more stable
• Auto Pen adjusts colour to background (even multicolour backgrounds)
• Warning if pen colour is too similar to background

• Stroke recovery improved during crashes/force quits
• Highlighter now renders behind strokes
• AI pen flicker fixed
⚙️ Native Functionality Improvements
• Undo/Redo rebuilt with more accurate and longer history
• External copy (lasso → paste outside Amphi)
• Three-finger tap → Undo/Redo menu
• Three-finger swipe → Undo/Redo
• Three-finger pinch & drop → Copy/Paste
• One-finger hold → Canvas menu
🖼 Images have better interaction
• Sticky / Slippery toggle (strokes attach or slide off images)
• Tap off to deselect
• Improved drag handle hitboxes
• Smoother motion performance
🛠 Toolbar Improvements
• Double-tap pen → Erase
• Double-tap again → Back to pen
• Updated submenu layout
• Performance improvements

New Update Just Dropped! - Version 1.0 build 5.
Hey everyone! We’ve just pushed a new build of amphi to TestFlight and it’s packed with upgrades, fixes, and a bunch of features many of you have asked for. Your feedback genuinely shapes what we ship next, so keep it coming.
✨ New Features:
• Pixel Eraser - Now you can erase individual pixels with precision. Find it by tapping the eraser tool again!
• New Highlighter Tool Settings - We’ve separated highlighter settings from pen settings, so switching tools is much smoother and more intuitive.
• Automatic Binder Page Colour options - You can now choose between automatic page colours based on your system theme or pick a fixed custom colour.
• New pen stroke style added allowing you to switch between uniform and dynamic strokes.
• Widget history - Certain widgets now have the ability to store their history.
• New Highlighter Tool Settings - We’ve separated highlighter settings from pen settings, so switching tools and colours is much smoother and more intuitive.
• BONUS: two new widgets, go check them out and let us know what you think.
📊 Improvements:
• Improved canvas and writing performance - Reduced lag and jitter while moving and drawing on the canvas.
• Image Cropping - Cropping images no longer causes lag or jitter on the canvas.
• Adaptive Pen Colour in Dark Mode - The automatic pen colour now adjusts based on light/dark mode so your writing is always visible when pairing this with the auto binder colour.
• Image Placement - When you insert an image, it now appears centred on the screen.
• Better Browser Widget Interaction - Easier to move, easier to click, clearer search interactions.
• Binder Performance Boost - Binders now load and scroll more smoothly.
• Updated widget design - improving the hit box and header so it should be easier to use.
• Ability to drag and drop images from widgets onto the canvas.
• The AI can now create tables in line and additional formatting.
🧪 Lab sterilisation (Bug Fixes):
• Keyboard + Widget Interaction - Widgets now automatically shift out of the way when the keyboard appears, then return to the right position afterwards.
• Binder Preview Glitches - Binder previews should now appear consistently and without visual bugs.
• Can now interact with the canvas when widgets are open.
• Draw on Images (no more accidental selecting) - You can now write directly on images using Apple Pencil without the image being selected or moved.
